Mayor Pacquiao thanks teachers, DepEd for dedication, sacrifices, and support

City Mayor Lorelie Geronimo - Pacquiao expressed her gratitude to the teachers and educators in General Santos City for their sincerest service and contribution to the city’s growth and development during the Culmination Program of the World Teachers' Day organized by the Department of Education (DepEd ) Division of General Santos as part of the long- month celebration of the Teachers' Month celebration on October 2, 2022 at General Santos City Gym with the theme, "Gurong Pilipino, Dangal ng Sambayanang Pilipino".

“I would like to thank our teachers and DepEd for their continued support on the projects of the city. Kung ang DepEd ang partner natin, kampante ako sa mga outcome,” Mayor Pacquiao said in her inspirational message. She ended her message with a bang giving the spot cash of Php 50 thousand for the teachers to share. She also sponsored some raffle prizes.

DepEd educators in the city are one of Mayor Pacquiao's partners in her youth, education, and other important projects in the City of General Santos.

Vice Mayor Rosalita T. Nunez, represented by City Councilor Ma. Lourdes Casabuena, mentioned that the Vice mayor wanted to greet the teachers with warm regards and congratulations for a job well- done.

Meanwhile, City Councilor Virgie Tiongson -Llido represented General Santos City representative Cong. Loreto B. Acharon. She conveyed that the Generals, especially in the Education sector, are assured of worthwhile legislation that he will be pushing in the House of Congress.

Also present in the celebration was City Councilor Edgar Acharon together with Dep Ed Key Officials headed by Regional Director, Carlito D. Rocafort, CESO V, SDS Romelito Flores, CESO V, ASDS Carlos G. Susarno, CESE ,and the rest of the Division of Gensan's Executives, teaching and non-teaching personnel.(CPIO/RSC)
